Coast to coast Philadelphia was as live as we expected. First off we would like to give a shout out to all of the three judges. Dj No Phrillz, Brandon Lee Beats, and Sean Bang. These vets were great and gave awesome feedback after letting us know that A$E placed in the top three performances with his performance of “Goofy”.
We arrived promptly at 9 p.m. after a two hour ride from Bmore. We didnt know what to expect being as though this was our first time doing a coast to coast event. By 10 o’clock we began to worry because the crowd was still light and Sean Bang told us that this wasn’t the norm for these c2c events. He eased us by assuring that attendance would pick up soon though. We all know that CPT is a real thing but we didn’t want to chance coming late from out of town and blow this opportunity. True to his word, 10:30 rolled around and sure enough the scene was beginning to look more like what we were used to. The venue was called Fire. A small club, but made for a more intimate experience. The walls were made of exposed bricks, giving it that rugged/grungy feel and the lights were perfectly dim with a spotlight shining on the performers. Perfect for an underground hip hop artist to really feel in his or her element.
The judges introduced themselves and the order of 15 performers were scrambled and reordered in a random lineup. They told A$E that he was chosen to perform 11th so we watched some great performances before A$E took the stage and did his thing. In my opinion he killed it but I’ll let you be the judge of that. We uploaded his performance below for you to experience if you couldn’t make it there. Comment and give your feedback… Hate motivates and love conquers all so all comments are welcome. #Stakka4life
